Blessings! I wrote this song with a dear, dear friend, Paul Hernandez (Paulie). I met him at the house of restoration where I was staying at in Puerto Rico, which is part of a tremendous ministry called, Victory Outreach. I learned so much while I was there and I thank God for the pastor, David Quintero, a great man of God! So then, like many of us, Paulie had many struggles and was far from perfect, however, he had a great gift from God! He had the gift of song! He always had a knew melody in his heart and he had a powerful voice too! One evening we were sitting outside talking about the resurrection of Christ. After reading Luke 24:1-12 + John 20:11-15. We put this song together and sang it at church that same week. He did the lead voice, I did the harmony. After that, he would tell me, Youre gonna be singing it. Youre gonna be out there singing it out there! After having heard him sing the song as I did the harmony I told him there was no way I could do the song justice as lead voice! This was about two years ago and I havent heard from him in over a year. Well, he was right... Im singing it. May God bless you, my dear brother, Paulie, wherever you may be.
