Blessings happen! I had a good day at work. Then, as I was walking out to my car to go home, I heard the voices of many children saying "Mr. Scott! Mr. Scott! I looked up and saw four black children and a black woman crossing the street. When they had crossed, the oldest (9) the only girl, spread her arms wide, inviting me to hug her, so I did. Then the others came forward for hugs, too. They were all carrying fresh sweet corn and the girl and the woman gave me four ears. After saying goodbye, I went to the organic grocery store to buy a hot case meal to go. The girl behind the counter gave me a huge slice of meatloaf and heaping potatoes and a ton of squash. This was way more food than I normally get there. It may not sound like very big blessings but to me they were. Thank you, Jesus!
