Blimey. I’m not generally given to praising corporate bodies, but must say I’m impressed with Talk Talk. Called them today about relocating but accidentally dialled the number for their mobile phone promotions. As I’m not a home owner I always refuse credit stuff and, in any case, most contracts only justify their generally higher cost by offering the sort of usage limits you’d only reach if you spent 24 hours a day playing with your mobile. Not for me. But I was wrong. OK, on PAYG I spend about £20 a month, tops, usually nearer £15. Because I’m a long-standing broadband customer Talk Talk have given me 500 of everything – minutes, text, Mb data – for £7.50 a month. And because I’ll have online billing that will come down to… wait for it… £5.60 a month. Bloody brilliant.
