Blind Devotion Towards Irrational Beliefs/Rituals Of Religion May Be Dangerous : It is an act of degradation and demoralization on the part of mankind. Any man who stands for progress has to criticize, disbelieve and challenge every belief/ritual which is irrational/unscientific. It is astounding that, like ignorant and ordinary people, some highly educated officers/officials in the government organizations, otherwise intelligent, are also not rational enough to understand the irrationality of their faith (religion). * They are adhering to their religions in this age of science. * They easily succumb to numerous blind rituals and all other superstitions. * They can be seen performing obscurantist rituals … … and to our utter surprise, they are doing this not only at home but in the office premises also ….. during the duty hours. * They blatantly flout their fundamental duties of scientific temper, humanism and secularism by espousing all sorts of non-sense practiced in the name of god and religion. * They are clinging to the superstitious beliefs and they behave like uneducated in the matters of faith. * Like the uneducated, they can also be seen frequently visiting temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras etc. * Like the uneducated, they can also be seen seeking guidance of the gurus, the babas, the soothsayers, the astrologers, the tantrics etc. * Like the uneducated, they can also be seen throwing their heads before the gurus, , the swamis, the babas, the godmen etc. * The gurus, swamis, babas, godmen, soothsayers, astrologers, tantrics etc. (who are, actually, frauds) easily brainwash these people and enrich themselves by taking full advantage of their blind faith. * Not surprisingly, most of these highly educated officers/officials of the government departments, who are so faithful to their faith (religion), are not faithful to their official duties. * Their real character is not so pious, as pious they are to their faith. They diligently and faithfully perform rituals/ceremonies of their faith, and yet blatantly indulge in all unethical, corrupt and antisocial practices; without hesitation. These highly religious people mercilessly extort bribes and have no shame in doing it. * All big scams are creation of these faith driven people.
