Blind Faith Then Jesus told him, Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. ~Saint John There is a knowing an awareness...that comes from seeing...hearing...feeling...wanting...from past conditioning...from future expectations...and then there is real seeing....and then there is seeing things as they are...in this moment.... apart from all of that...apart from comparisons with other things..apart from preconceived notions about things...apart from presumption...apart from pretense....a knowing from being......there is a knowing of love that can only come from loving...you cant see love...but you can be it..... Just as the eye does not see itself...but it sees.....you cant know truth...but you can be true....and if you are true then truth knows you...if you are loving then love knows you...many people know many things...but most do not know what matters the most...its nothing you know...what matters the most is what knows you...so that in the end you do not hear...depart from me you who work iniquity...i never knew you.... Now because the eye does not see itself it sees without pomp or pride....it has no claim to what it sees...it isnt a manufactured seeing...its a seeing that is not composed of parts....that is put together by desire...or belief...or feeling....or notions of others...or past events....or future expectations...its a seeing of what one does not want to see...yes...what you dont want to see...for you see...if you want to see it then it comes from desire...and that is not true seeing...its not seeing with love...love sees unconditionally..... Its seeing what you dont expect to see....truth comes to us as a thief in the night...truth is realized when you dont expect you know it....truth comes to us in the twinkling of an eye....in a flash....its not a seeing that comes by squinting the eyes hard...or study.....its a seeing that comes with opening the eyes wide...the heart wide..the mind wide....its a seeing that comes with spaciousness...of an empty heart....a pure heart..a quiet heart....a still mind....in a whisper....that sounds like thunder....in a stillness..that shakes up all things like an earthquake....in a still small voice...that says everything...without saying anything.... Truth comes to us in a glance...the way Jesus glanced at Peter at the third crowing of the cock....The best teachers insult us without saying a thing....There is a knowing born out of presence....that carrys more weight to it...that is endowed with authority....than any spoken or written word.... and this is true faith...faith that comes from presence...from being....from being at one with life...at one with God...always to know the Fathers heart...by abiding intimately with him....by utterly forsaking all things that hinder that intimacy.....only then can we like Jesus say..I do what I see the Father doing.....not from a distance...but from being....from absolute presence.... We need not turn stones to bread...jump of pinnacles....or seek power in anything else...when we are present with the Father...when the authority is within us and we are conscious...we need not defend what is outside of us....we no longer seek manifestations...we know without seeing...
