Blink was undoubtedly one of the best Doctor Who episodes Ive - TopicsExpress

Blink was undoubtedly one of the best Doctor Who episodes Ive watched to date. Also, the ending was very curious. Quick shots of various types of statues in everyday places being narrated over by The Doctor, offering instructions on what not to do in case of Weeping Angels: Dont blink. The quick pace of the changing of the scenes, the close-up shots of the kind of familiar faces of statues you might come across in your daily life coupled with Tennant ominous tone of voice all ends up feeling like a slight invasion of the viewers senses, all meant to drive home the daring idea that this is real. Very daring indeed. I do wonder if Im just mistaken, or if Moffat was venturous enough to try and get the viewer to see these creatures everywhere. There must have been AT LEAST one person who must have felt uncomfortable about the idea of blinking whilst looking at a statue, right? Or at least the thought struck them that maybe they shouldnt? Even if just for a moments notice? Daring. I would usually chalk such things up to the imperfections of man, but in this case I will attribute them to skillful directing and storytelling.
