Blinking Christ A number of years ago I saw a video series on relationships facilitated by Gary Smalley. In one of the sessions he passed a violin around to the audience. People would look at it and then pass it on. After the violin had been circulating for several minutes, he made the statement that the violin was a genuine Stradivarius. All of a sudden people treated it with utmost respect. He stated that’s how we need to see our loved ones; as though they were a genuine Stradivarius instead of an old violin. Not long after seeing this I had a “dream” or kind of animated vision in which my wife had done something to which I had a very negative reaction. As I was facing her and was about to berate her, I perceived a brilliant light flashing on and off in bold letters on her forehead which formed the word “Christ”. It was an awesome experience. The message I got was we literally are all the Christ and who we are far out shines what we do. What I find I do most of the time now is to intentionally see the flashing “Christ” sign on everyone. Especially on people who seem to irritate me. I often have to “fake it till I make it”, and have to make an effort to see the sign. Then I realize that many times on extremely cold days my car engine won’t start and I have to turn it over many times. And if that doesn’t work, to call for help. Then I remember that is the key to happiness. To turn it over and call for help. Then I also remember to laugh as that is really the only way out. As the text says T-27.VIII.6. “Let us return the dream he gave away unto the dreamer, who perceives the dream as separate from himself and done to him. 2 Into eternity, where all is one, there crept a tiny, mad idea, at which the Son of God remembered not to laugh. 3 In his forgetting did the thought become a serious idea, and possible of both accomplishment and real effects. 4 Together, we can laugh them both away, and understand that time cannot intrude upon eternity. 5 It is a joke to think that time can come to circumvent eternity, which there is no time. “
