#Blockparty Today we have the lovely BRENDA MTAMBO Brenda Mtambo Brenda Mtambo has one of the most powerful and soulful voices in the world. At the tender age of 5 she began belting out notes and spent her teens singing choral music. After initiating a music project called “Sisters of Joy”, she took a big leap towards fulfilling her dreams. Brenda joined Multi Award Winner Gospel Group “Joyous Celebration”, with whom she recorded and toured Africa. As a performer in her own right and taking on many lead performing roles, the track “Say More Jesus” was written and performed by herself for Joyous Celebration 14. Brenda has worked closely on projects, tours and DVD recordings with Lira, Sbongile Khumalo, Judith Sephuma, Brian Thusi to mention just the few Corporate performances with Lindelani Mkhize and Somizi Mhlongo have also afforded Brenda the experience of the Coporate music world. Brenda believes in the power of music to move, inspire and entertain her fans. Telling stories through her musical works, one can only sit back and listen to this Afro-Soul powerhouse. Diversity is something that comes naturally to Brenda as she wants to speak not only to Africa but the World. A thread of African and jazz make their way into the sounds of Brenda which allows variety in her writing.
