Blog post style. Sorry for irritating you youngsters out there. Today I return to Dallas. Ill be home at 9pm. It will be good to see rw, the pup, and the cat quartet. TESOL was excellent . Portland was excellent. Big thanks to all who made this wonderfulness happen. Richland college, for funding my flight and hopefully reimbursing my registration and some of my expenses. Dean and coworkers for supporting me and taking care of the language center. Janice Irene Fallin for handling my form. Rachel Belcher and jw and the kids and the cats for giving me a home for a week. Roger Devine for lunch on Thursday, a lovely visit, and a chance to meet your son. Aaron Mayers for a great tour, fun food trucks, catching up on your life, and meeting your awesome Roo. Steven Nunn &Cathy Whiting for befriending a stranger, rescuing me from getting lost on wildwood trail, and enjoying soup and yarn and bridges and trees! Ree Ngirailab and niece Nadia for beautiful afternoon in the grotto. Im wearing the necklace and earrings home and thinking of Palau. How lucky I am to have the honor of having time with you. Sad that I didnt make arrangements with other Portland area people, Carla Ngirkelau, Chris Hagerbaumer, others ( Ill be here two more hours) ;) All of you come to Texas and say hello. Ill show you what kinds of trees grow in a drought climate.
