Blogg #Kilimanjaro. We had a late start today from Barranco camp 7am instead of 06:30 as we would save energy by allowing the sun to hit the camp site first and warm our bodies. But the sun didnt come out. It was an overcast misty ominous morning and the weather just got worst. It rained all day and by the time we reached camp everything was soaked and we are doing our best to dry gear and bags. Everyone enjoyed the Barranco wall as it focused the mind as we scrambled with 3 points of contact on the difficult sections. We arrived at the Karangu camp at 14:00 The singing has stopped tonight as the looming thoughts of what lay ahead. The Summit looms overhead and all thoughts are focused on the next 48 hours. The team are working hard and well together, the pace is ideal and the thoughts are positive. We pray for fine weather tomorrow to get a chance to dry our clothes while on the move. Request from the team. Can you all put out the Child of Prague.!!! It makes such a difference. Tonight the rain has stopped and we can see the summit. It looks fantastic. I know at this stage that all of the team from thegirlsclub are getting ready packing for their climb next week. Looking forward to seeing you all #cancerawarness
