Blood Blood. Blood moves in our body and animates our being. Circulation is one of the keys to healthy life. Good circulation is also a great indicator of a happy life. We have a concept or core belief in traditional healing - the movement of blood relates to the movement of our life. When we change our lives and emotions and mind, we move our blood. When we transform our emotions, we move our blood. The heart blood and blood moves only when we change our life. The greater the life movement, the greater the blood movement. Ever wonder why a big emotional shift will cause you to get hot, red, warm and sweaty for a long time?? Sometimes this happens for days. Spiritually, people with circulation problems should focus on moving emotions, not just exercise. Exercise is vital for health. It does not have to be ironman training though. Good cardio is very important. You ever see people loose weight long term without exercise? It cannot be done. It always comes back. Sweating and moving the blood help to process our life, thoughts and emotions. The act of exercise often can create a huge emotional release or transformation. This is why people feel so good after exercise. Endorphins are just a reflection of this deeper movement. We must also realize that exercise to move the blood doesnt always process emotions. We have to sometime address our emotions or thoughts directly, then the blood moves. Feeling cold, neuropathy, raynaulds syndrome, tingling in hands/feet, lack of concentration and focus, edema in extremities and much more is a symptom of poor blood movement. Practice the idea of tai chi, training your body and mind together. Exercise, tai chi or yoga is a vital part of the counseling process too. I know many famous psychologist who will not see a patient unless they are exercising for 30 minutes, four times a day. I hear a lot of people saying they get exercise by walking in the house, chasing kids and being at work. This type of deep movement needs a good 20-30 minutes of nonstop movement. Exercise will help the counseling process of transforming emotions. This is also where hot baths or traditionally called sacred baths help too. Herbal foot baths also. Since it is so cold out, it is even more vital to move that blood. We have to counterbalance the season. The cold makes us want to sit and be slow. It is good to honor that in some way, but still get regular movement.
