Blood Red Moons and the Rapture of the Church??? Have any of you seen the various postings around on the Web about the Blood Moons or Red Moons and The Rapture of the Church?? Admittedly I have not looked in any detail at the postings about this idea yet. But my gut instinct is that these theories about this are probably wrong. I am real suspicious and doubtful of them. My first reaction is to think about Jesus telling us - Matt 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Here is that passage. Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Matt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matt 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: Matt 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Matt 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Matt 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Matt 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matt 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, Matt 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matt 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Matt 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Matt 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Now we often associate this verse in Matt 24:42 with Jesus coming for us in the Rapture of the Church - Matt 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But in looking at it more closely Jesus Himself started this passage by talking about when the Great Tribulation is closing - Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Matt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Now that is talking about right after the effective end of the Great Tribulation (the 7 years). And Jesus says people will see His sign of His return in the sky. That is Jesus open for all to see Second Coming. And it will happen as the Great Tribulation is drawing to a close. And they still wont be able to know beforehand when that Second Coming of Jesus is going to happen! So if the people that survive the Great Tribulation (the 7 years) still cant know exactly when Jesus will re-enter this earths atmosphere in His Second Coming and come to this earth again to reign here...then How in the World can we expect to know at all when Jesus is going to come quickly an secretly and catch we of the Church up?? I dont think we have any hope of being able to know the time of the Rapture with even that broad accuracy of the Month and Year. What do you think about that idea of the Red Moon Rapture?
