Blood Testing for Thyroid Function Is Not - TopicsExpress

Blood Testing for Thyroid Function Is Not Reliable Unfortunately, all we know about hypthyroidism in the medical field aint true. In fact, most of the information, particularly the thyroid blood tests being relied upon by the medical profession, is wrong. Doctors are not diagnosing the vast majority of patients with hypothyroidism when they rely on the blood tests to make the diagnosis. And since they are missing the majority of patients with the problem, they do not truly appreciate the vast range of symptoms that hypothyroidism causes Every generation for the last one hundred years has had some doctors who cry out that many hypothyroid problems are being missed with tragic consequences for health. I am joining my voice to those uttering this cry. I believe that hypothyroidism may be the single most important health problem today; certainly it is the most important problem that is not being diagnosed. Every aspect of bodily function is touched when hypothyroidism is present, and mild degrees of hypothyroidism are very common. The fact that the diagnosis of hypothyroidism is usually missed by the medical profession is without a doubt the biggest medical tragedy of our day. -Dr. Philip G.
