Bloomsbury, which is home to our Bloomsbury Gardens development, sits in central London just north of Holborn. It first became trendy in the 17th and 18th century and was quickly known as the culture hub of London. Then the ‘Bloomsbury Group’ were created, these were a handful of writers, artists and intellectuals including E.M. Forster and Virginia Woolf. Now, Bloomsbury is still classed as a cultural destination surrounded by trendy shops on Store Street, and home to one of London’s most renowned London theatres, The Bloomsbury Theatre. For anyone looking for an fun weekend, the theatre is home to The Variety Live, taking place on 17th and 18th June, a showcase of comedy, live music, magic, juggling and much more.
