Blowin in the wind taken out of The Other Side of the Mirror - Bob Dylan with Freedom Singers Band @ The Newport Folk Festival Update on my Bob Dylan Take-outs: For today Id like to share this evergreen performed by the folkrock master himself live @ The Newport Folk Festival 1963-1965 Lyrics excerpt: How many roads must a man walk down Before you call him a man? How many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in this sand? Yes, an how many times must the cannon balls fly Before theyre forever banned? The answer, my friend, is blowin in the wind The answer is blowin in the wind How many years can a mountain exist Before it is washed to the sea? Yes, an how many years can some people exist Before theyre allowed to be free? Yes, an how many times must a man turn his head An pretend that he just doesnt see? ... My share from yesterday: The Other Side of the Mirror - Bob Dylan Live at The Newport Folk Festival 1963-1965 - All I really wanna do song taken out by me... ift.tt/1yP54Lx Since I am really into Rock/ Folk music too Id like to share this Video clip with you all. Actually its not only me, whos a big time Bob Dylan addict, but also my dad. Since he used to be a member of the 1968s generation, theres no need to make mention of him being some kind of hippie at the time. Regarding this attitude of him towards this historical movement he always liked to pitch the following yarn when I grew up. Its about him getting back from the USA, where he spend an exchange year as a high school student. (By the way: I sort of copied this type of decision, when I turned an according age to enter the melting pot..) Anyways, the story I want to share is about him getting back to Germany. On his way from the airport taking the train back to his home town Bremen, he fell asleep during the ride. So his brother Hartmut got on this very train to look out for him. When he passed my sleeping dad residing on the trains seat he wasnt even able to recognize him. The reason for that my dad used to dish out this way: Due to his outer appearance this was no wonder! In order not to make a covert action by me out of this circumstance I have to put it in a nutshell: Apparently my dad had become such a hardcore type of hippie, which was given utterance by him wearing long hair and flip flops. Not any normal kind of flip flops, but such having been made of car tires. So this used to be the crux of this matter. As I already noted I always tended to imitate my daddy so that he kind of became my personal hero over the years. Altogether this is the reason why Im sharing this excerpt of Bob Dylans Blu-Ray The Other Side of the Mirror - Bob Dylan Live at The Newport Folk Festival 1963-1965. Because it really is about a Rock star being a superstar at the time. I hope not to be facing any kinds of copy rights issues for me uploading this. On the other hand I have to ask why one is paying fees for ones legal protection insurance in the end. This is really convenient for me since this type of legal backup is covering the internet as well (especially facebook). But maybe Im worrying ones head way too much about copy right issues as such. Lets face this: We are just dealing with a cut-off sample... Have fun watching! mirrors in case one platform is down;)) ift.tt/1yP54Lx ift.tt/1yP56mF ift.tt/1vOwwEE ift.tt/1yP56mG Editorial Reviews (taken down from amazon) Few performances in history are as legendary or as controversial as Bob Dylan s 1965 appearance at the Newport Folk Festival. In a single, galvanizing instant, Dylan plugged an entire generation in, forever changing not only the way the music was made, but the way it was heard. By putting you in the audience for Dylan s Newport performances from 1963 through that pivotal set in 1965, Academy Award®-winning director Murray Lerners The Other Side Of The Mirror captures Dylans metamorphosis from folk prodigy to rocks fiercely confrontational poet who would electrify and inspire an entire nation and become the voice of his generation. This incredible film is now available for the first time on Blu-ray. The film features over 80 minutes of performances. This is the piece of music history that every Dylan fan and every music aficionado has been waiting for. Track Listing: 1. Intro/All I Really Want To Do (1965) (Stereo) 2.
