Blue Cygnus (An International English Literary Publication) About:- “Blue Cygnus” is a tri-monthly English literary web publication of mixed issues of poetry, fiction, novels, essays, translations and non-fiction covering spiritual, cultural, and religious topics and an yearly printed issue from the best selected submissions of the tri-monthly web publication. Editing Policy:- Guest editors are invited to solicit up a part of the issues, with other part selected from electronic manuscripts submitted to the magazine and screened for them by staff editors. This guest-editor policy is introduced to the readers to offer different literary circles and tastes, and a wider range and diversity of contemporary letters than would be possible with a single editorship. Yet, at the same time, we expect every issue to reflect our overall literary taste. Submission Guidelines:-All submissions must be in English and previously unpublished. We prefer entries typed in Microsoft word, single spaced in times new roman, font size-12 or sent through pdf file, though entries sent by any word doc would be acceptable. Please do not use “Caps Lock” and “BOLD LETTERS”, not even for the titles .Photograph and a brief biography must be accompanied along with the electronic manuscript. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable as long as we are notified immediately if the submission is accepted for publication elsewhere. Please submit no more than one short story (preferably 2500-5000 words), one fiction (preferably up to 10,000 words), one essay (preferably up to 2000 words),one novel (preferably up to 15000 words), one translated work (preferably up to 5000 words), one non-fiction {(spiritual, cultural or religious) preferably up to 6000 words} or five poems at a time. Unsolicited submissions would be considered for the next issue. Only solicited submissions would be notified over email individually and would be screened on the Facebook page of “Blue Cygnus”. Submission Acknowledgement:-Entries submitted to “Blue Cygnus” would be confirmed through email (writetobluecygnus@gmail). Reading Period:- Our reading period starts from October 1 to November 24. All online submissions must be sent before November 24. We adhere very strictly to these dates. Since we operate on a first-received, first-read basis, we cannot make exceptions or hold work. Submit your work at any time during our reading period. Payment:- No payment would be charged for electronic submissions. Although writers will not be paid in the initial forth-coming issues, but payments would be considered for writers in the future publications. *Copy Rights would remain with the writers after publication.
