Blue Skies Fundraising Events There are numerous fundraising events happening over the coming months in aid of Trust charity Blue Skies Hospitals Fund. Firstly, the Mayor and Mayoress of Wyre, John and Linda Hodgkinson, are holding a Spring Ball in aid of the Heart of Gold Charitable Fund. The ball will include a four course dinner and is a black tie event. The night takes place from 7pm on Friday 21st March in the Ballroom at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood. Next there is a charity ball in aid of the Neonatal Unit, at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, which is being run by The Baby Ethan Appeal. Ethan Lee Schofield was born in March last year, 15 weeks early, and sadly died three weeks later. His mother, Sarah Schofield, has now set up the appeal to raise money for baby care. The event will take place on Saturday 17th May at the Imperial in Blackpool, from 6.30pm. Tickets, which are £35, include a three course meal and entertainment. The event will include a four course dinner, live band and auction and will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool, from 7pm.
