Blue skies and warm weather, sand ball fights, full body sensory experiences (aka, baby paddling naked through tide pools and trying to eat jelly fish), crab shell collecting, fort building, swimming in a surprisingly warm ocean, bare feet, night time huddles for warmth, potlucks, omelettes in a bag, smores and wieners (in that order), bonfires, sing-a-longs, family and new friends... all in all a fantastic weekend. Despite the fact that when I scratched my head just now my nails came away caked with sand... I think its safe to say that we each brought a little piece of Kalaloch home with us. Literally. Especially considering that the baby is still processing the significant portions of Kalaloch that he ate.
