Blue stream today: We used the parallel circuits formula to practise manipulating algebraic fractions. This meant adding fractions in which the denominators of both had various versions of X in them. This is a much deeper topic than I was able to show you today. But having said that, its not a commonly used branch of algebra, and so I wouldnt expect you all to remember how to do it when you need it occasionally. Better to absorb it a bit at a time over several years. -DC
