Blues for the Red Sun, the 1992 album of the awesome genre-defining stoner rockers Kyuss is certainly in my top 10 albums of all time. Stoner (or desert) rock emerged in California in the 90s. It has a groovy sound, with distorted guitar riffs and a psychedelic vibe. This is an uptempo track, mid- and slow tempo tracks are more typical for the genre, with those features they resemble doom metal. Queens of the Stone Age are the best known band in the mainstream which continued the spirit of Kyuss.
