Blues guitarist Johnny B. Moore was born on this day in 1950 in Clarksdale, MS. Johnny B. Moore first met Blueman Jimmy Reed in Clarksdale when he was 8 years old. By the time he was 13, Moore was sitting in with Reed in Chicago. He joined Koko Taylor`s Blues Machine in 1975, and appeared on her 1976 Alligator album The Earthshaker. He struck out on his own in the early 80s, and released a fine R&B tinged CD, Hard Times in 1987. After some hard times and rough going, Moore is now more visible than ever.
