Blues want PSV youngster to replace Ashley Cole. Chelsea will turn their attentions to PSVs Jetro Willems if Southampton price them out of a move for top target Luke Shaw. Jose Mourinho has made a left back and a striker his top priorities in the summer transfer window and Shaw, 18, has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. The youngster is a Chelsea fan and would be interested in a joining the club but it is understood he is happy at St Marys and will not force a move this summer if Saints refuse to sell. The South Coast club demanded £25m for Shaw in January when Chelsea made tentative enquiries and the Blues fear Shaws recent England call-up, and possible inclusion in Roy Hodgsons World Cup squad, could see his price tag soar even higher. With FFP to consider, Chelsea will not pay over the odds for Shaw but will instead turn to Willems as a long-term replacement for Ashley Cole. The Dutch international became the youngest player ever to appear at a European Championship when he started every match of the Netherlands disastrous campaign in 2012 and is enjoying another excellent season in Holland. PSV are resigned to losing Willems eventually and would demand only £15m from Chelsea - a considerable reduction on Shaw. However, with John Terry, Frank Lampard and Cole all in the twilight of their careers, Shaws Englishness is a major advantage given the Premier League rules on homegrown players. PSV are thought to be receptive to selling Willems to Chelsea, particularly if they can recoup a good fee and some young talent on loan. The Eindhoven outfit have cast jealous eyes at the Blues feeder club, Vitesse Arnhem, who are mounting a serious title challenge aided by a host of young stars on loan from Stamford Bridge.
