BoD Meeting Update: What a great turn out! Keep it up Patriots. Thank you public speakers for taking the time to prepare and deliver your statements. From the Treasurer: More info to come but plans are being made to set up a capital campaign. From Head of School: There are 2 different assessments that can be done to evaluate teacher effectiveness and growth. The state offers the option to submit a waiver to be exempt. The BoD approved application for waiver. These assessments are not necessary and would take away from learning environment. They do not measure student performance. Enrollment: K-5 610 students, 6-8 287 students, 9-12 301 students. A Panic Alarm System will be required next year and a grant has been applied for to pay for half. Possible Fundraiser: Boosterthon Fun Run and Color Run. BoD needs more information before can be approved. They felt the percentage kept by Boosterthon was steep. From the HS Subcommitte: Mission statement, Members, Schedule of meetings, and workgroups presented. From CFA- School did well utilizing money from CFA, some funds were left over. These funds will be used for math training. Next Meeting 12/16/14 @ 7pm.
