Board Members and friends of Green Mtn Pug Rescue: Last December - TopicsExpress

Board Members and friends of Green Mtn Pug Rescue: Last December I had to retire from GMPR due to some health issues. It was the hardest thing to let go of and step totally away from it. I knew in my heart that GMPR would continue to thrive under the loving hands of its Board Members. To Judy and Phil, you have been with me from the get go and I appreciate your dedication to the pugs. Jleigh, you are a rock and the strongest woman I have ever met! Your unwavering devotion to pugs everywhere is amazing. Trent, Sharon, Lorraine, Heather and Kris- you will keep GMPR alive an well with all your hard work and dedication to the Rescue and pugs everywhere! I miss you all, but I am refocusing my life and taking charge of my health and enjoying the benefits of it- being active and losing weight. The dinner after the social this year was supposed to be partly a retirement for me. I dont like any undue attention to myself. Its not what I like or feel comfortable in. I dont see myself as any different than any of you on the board of directors- past or present. Everyone as a team has made GMPR one of the premier Pug Rescues in the USA! Its never one person running the show. I have always said its our team of volunteers that make it great and keep it running smoothly. I got the mail last night and opened up a package from Phil and Judy. In it were letters from the Governors of Maine, NH, VT, and NY. Thanking me for my years of service to GMPR. Should be no shock to any that know me that I spent the next 20 minutes reading them with tears flowing down my face. I am SO HUMBLED and thank everyone who had a hand in that. They will be treasured always. So to everyone that has been helping out GMPR over the years- KEEP IT UP-- keep donating your time, money and heart to this spectacular rescue that always will put the pugs first! Take care and see you around!!
