Bob Anthony Memorial Trophy In spite of the number of good trainers and good horses in Florida, our open classes have had the lowest participation of any of our FRHA classes for the last few years. Since we have moved the NRHA Opens to Saturday, participation has increased a little but not where we would like it to be. I hope that this trophy will help inspire the trainers that we have within our club to show in the Open classes we have at every show. The FRHA year end champions are determined by points and are required to show in at least 50% of the classes offered in that year. Since Bob was always a proponent of prize money rather than points, this trophy will be awarded to the Open rider who has won the most Open money and has shown in at least 50% of the Open classes offered. It is not a one horse/one rider format. Riders may accumulate money on as many horses as you would like, BUT you must participate on at least one horse in at least 50% of the offered classes over the course of the year. Bob Anthony was a competitor and always encouraged those around him to get in the arena, show and win. Hopefully he can continue to inspire us to do that with this trophy. Bart Corrington
