Bob Evermon First the Bad News!! More land mines left by last council......... Please forward I am scandalized to read that following his resignation, District of Sechelt employee Mr. Ron Buchorn has been awarded $25,000.00 golden hand shake plus four month’s salary beyond his contract of fifteen thousand five hundred dollars per month until May 31 of next year. This was one of the last acts of the outgoing Sechelt Council after the election and in camera ( naturally) before the new council was inaugurated. This means that a short term employee is receiving around $87,500.00 on top of the $25,000.00 bonus received for doing his job during the districts first strike. City Hall is not Microsoft, they serve the best interest of the citizens of Sechelt and this is a free gift of taxpayers money for someone already having a huge salary in a small town again paid by the tax payers of Sechelt. The ethics behind this award are as bankrupt as the last council given this excessive remuneration. I strongly oppose this award and call on this council to review and reverse this decision. Now the good news, Happy Holidays to all. I feel very good about the next four years with Bruce.
