Bob Lind is a folk singer-songwriter, novelist, playwright, & screenwriter, who help define the folk-rock movement of the 1960s. Lind was born this date in 1942. His Elusive Butterfly reached No. 5 on both the US & UK Charts in 1966. The song might have gone further on the UK Chart had there not been a cover version (sung by Val Doonican) out at the same time.
