There is nothing more obscene than a duped Sam Simon supporting animal-betrayal specialists Mercy For Animals, ironically praising the sell-out group for its release of undercover video of cruelty to chickens at a Chick-fil-A supplier, even after MFA policies have proven to be a global catastrophe for the birds. Mercy For Animals, a partner with United Egg Producers, is responsible for the worldwide acceptance of torturous concentration-camp conditions of furnished/modified/enriched battery cages as humane. Support of MFA is endorsement of the most heinous butchery. The pattern is simple, Simon, and Chick-fil-A is yet another episode in an ongoing opportunist fundraising ploy. What happens at a Chick-fil-A supplier is what happens at every chicken processing facility. It is business as usual - except someone from MFA managed to get hired there. Simon and MFA are not in touch with what can really happen when they ask Chick-fil-A for meaningful animal welfare policies and less cruel killing methods.
