Bob Update #3 Im working every day now with Physical and Occupational therapy ladies at Ketchikan Medical Center. Had a big day today. I walked from one end of the parallel bars to the other, and pushed myself up from my stomach to all-fours. That may not sound like such a big deal - babies do it all the time - but its a big deal for me. Weve been trying that all-fours move for the last several days and I finally made it! Things that have been second nature all my life now require careful planning and strategizing to accomplish. I have to stop and plan each move. Ive also noticed that ramps that are supposed to be wheelchair accessible arent. I tried like crazy to get up a wheelchair ramp the other day, but couldnt do it. It was too steep. I suspect there are lots of other places around town that are supposedly handicapped accessible but arent. The stump from the amputation is healing well and were beginning to shape it in preparation for fitting it with a prosthetic. That should give me more mobility. No time estimate yet for getting into the Totem-To-Totem run... depends on healing. Thanks, again, for all your prayers and concern!
