Bobbie “June” Mitchell, 87, longtime Guymon resident, died late Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Integris Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City. The daughter of Ruby “Sis” Pence and William “Todd” Moore, she was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Reed, Oklahoma. She was married to Calvin F. Mitchell on January 12, 1946, in Wheeler, Texas. The Mitchell family lived in Mangum, Oklahoma before moving to the Oklahoma Panhandle in 1953. June was a member of First Baptist Church, Guymon. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her three children, Judy and husband, Joey Rodanski, Tulsa, OK; Jane and husband, Bill Sellers, Sapulpa, OK; and Jerry Mitchell and wife, Heather, Oklahoma Cit; a sister, JoNell Thornton, Pawhuska, OK; two brothers, Pat Moore and wife, Susan, Hesston, KS; Sam Moore, LaHabra, CA; grandchildren, Jeff and Anita Rodanski, Firestone, CO; Jessica Kegin, Glennpool, OK; Justin Rodanski; Evie and Abby Mitchell, all of Oklahoma City; and two great grandchildren, Taylor Rodanski and Addy Kegin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Maddie C. (Peggy) Moore; and brother, William Douglas “Son” Moore. Funeral services will be Thursday morning, May 8, 10:00 A.M. at the Henson-Novak Funeral Chapel, 501 NW Fifth, Guymon. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.
