Bobby asks:- I have a 2 year old (best guess) neutered Male. Very smart knows all of his commands, and very social. My questions is lately (I have had him for 3 months now) he seems to be trying to ignore commands at times, like he is testing me. I discount the times where he is excited, though he almost always obeys in new places. Is this testing behaviour normal? I have had shepherd mixes before but not shepherd rottweiler. Just curious for now am treating it as youthful rebellion testing his boundaries. He walks beside me on his leash and I make him follow through doors and he has to sit and stay till I tell him to "get it" with his food and toys., I read a lot on rottwielers so I understand a lot of his other behaviour. Just wondering if this is normal for males his age.
