Bodybuilding for building mass is not a hidden excuse to go all - TopicsExpress

Bodybuilding for building mass is not a hidden excuse to go all out...eating copious amounts of food in an attempt to pack on mountains of lean mass. Bodybuilding for the sake of building and / or maintaining lean mass should done in a strategic manner to build / or maintain lean gains whilst reducing the amount of body fat...as a potential side-effect. If you grew up in the 70s or 80s, you may have been taught to eat anything and sometimes...everything in your quest for size. However, do realise that no two individuals were made the same way. Some people may be able to get away slamming down huge amounts of food and calories without fear of gaining excessive body fat, whilst others may pack on fat at a faster rate. Gone are days of long bulking cycles whereby bodybuilders gained far too much fat along-side their lean gains. Do realise that your body can only process and synthesise X amount of food into lean tissue per sitting. Any excess calories, whether from carbs, protein or fat...will be deposited as fat cells. Its really as simple as that...if you think you are really that big...lift your shirt and show us how big you are...no doubt, the point of The Off-season is to pack on as much size as possible, but it is JUST AS IMPORTANT to minimize your fat gains too. Unless your calories and training are well-calibrated with the simultaneous intake of sports supplementation, did you know that dieting in the absence of anabolic steroids will also strip off lean muscle tissue along with fat? If you gained 50 lbs of weight from The Off-season...30 lbs of lean mass and 20 lbs from fat...imagine how much lean mass you could lose if you did not know how to diet OR you had to diet so much longer to bring yourself down to a single digit...AS OPPOSED TO gaining 30 lbs of weight...20 lbs of lean tissue versus 10 lbs of fat. If you were skilled in the art of dieting, although you only gained 20 lbs of lean mass, you would only have to lose 10lbs of fat to achieve a single digit. Gain conservatively and stop using your quest for size as an all out excuse to make a pig of yourself. If you love eating so much, then...no comment...youre just greedy with a lack of discipline. Bodybuilding is 100% discipline. Think about it!
