Bollywood rocking!! Zee Aflam and Zee Arabiya are really rocking channels in Middle East & North Africa region (ranging from Afghanistan to Morocco!!) Zee Aflam usually shows bollywood movies, bollywood gossip and trends in Indian Film Industry. Zee Arabiya also shows Indian popular TV serials dubbed in Arabic Language. But, the TRP may not be so good to these channels against most popular Hollywood movie channels – MBC2, MBC MAX (channels operated from Dubai targeting Saudi Arabian viewers. (Note, Saudi does not have any public entertainment other than TV channels) But, I believe MBC must have experienced the increasing threat of “Bollywood Masti” on these regional – global channel, and they also now started a program mbc Bollywood. Now onwards many other bollywood movies will be available in Arabic dubbing on this program. May be they launch a separate channel in future. One more important thing to mention here. I have noticed that almost hotels around the world shows some of the Global-Regional channels like CNN from US, Rotana from Europe, CCTV 9 from China, Al-Jazeera from middle east, BBC of UK etc. All others are well understood but, I am really much more surprised o CCTV 9. It is available almost everywhere in all good hotels around the world. This is a part of National TV of Chinese Government and this is their new tool to show their global presence and cultural attack from China around the world. They are also using this as a global platform to promote and justify their policies. Against which, it is very difficult to find any Indian Channel except some South Indian channels in few hotels in Middle East and Zee Aflam in the hotels across Arabic Regions!! However, Indian entertainment programs are much more entertaining and India has much more diversity in their TV programs and regional / global news that we can easily attack the world on cultural grounds on this very easily available global platform. But, Indian Government is completely sleeping over such issues. (What can we expect when a ‘bhand’ like Manish Tiwari is broad casting minister??) India made so many successful cultural attacks in the past and we actually brought most of the Asian region under Indian Culture!! Starting from Burma, Sri Lanka Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos to China, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan are strongly under Buddhism idea from India. Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and part of other small islands of South East Asia were also earlier completely covered by Indian Culture. I just can’t understand what we are waiting for?? Why a state owned television can’t launch powerful global Indian Channel which is undoubtedly viewed all around the world???
