Bolts Of Wisdom FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT 1Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith... (King James Version) The only fight that a born again Christian is supposed to engage in is the fight of faith. Notice that the Bible makes it clear that the fight of faith is a good fight. Unfortunately many believers fight the wrong fight or fights in their lives and this frustrates them and makes failure manifest in their lives. Many are involved in fighting satan and how many times do you hear someone saying “I am engaged in spiritual warfare, I am fighting satan.” Some will even say “These days satan is on my case and I am fighting him.” WRONG FIGHT CHILD OF GOD! Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) The fight of faith needs you to have faith and it is impossible to please God without faith. Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. (King James Version) When you get born again God gives the same measure of faith, this is the starting dosage of faith. He is a fair God. Whilst this faith is small and can be symbolically equated to the size of a mustard seed, it is powerful enough to overcome challenges/mountains. Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (King James Version) Hebrews 11:2 Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. (Amplified Bible) Romans 10:17 So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself). (Amplified Bible) You must grow your faith by hearing God’s Word. The more of God’s Word you hear, the more effective you become in fighting the good fight of faith. You can never hear too much of God’s Word. No wonder you cannot afford to miss the church program, it is to your disadvantage. Staying at home and watching Christian TV programs and CDs without going to a spirit filled, Bible believing church is a bad habit that positions you to fight the wrong fight. LIFE WILL BECOMES FILLED WITH FRUSTRATIONS & DEFEAT. Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching (Amplified Bible) Your faith must work or be motivated by love and not selfishness, culture, pride, bitterness, wickedness, vengeance, etc in order for you to fight a good fight.
