Bom Dia to everyone! practicing my Portuguese, uhm, i know how to say some of the foods, the benefits--along with eating it--and lots of other stuff :@) of having a brazilian partner for 5 years! so im brushing up ;-) Were up to #3 today in my all-time song countdown, leaping from #16 last year, the kind of move that happens once over many years: 3) (16) Now We Are Free – Lisa Gerrard/Theme from Gladiator – it’s hard to put into words the significance of this song. it is from one of my Top 5 favorite movies, being “Gladiator” so i think much of my association comes from that… this movie struck a deep, compelling chord with me. honour, courage, integrity, compassion, love, grace, loyalty, intimacy, longing, wisdom—it gave breath to them all. the song haunts in positive way. hope springs eternal when i hear it. the idea We could live in a society where all were equal, all were present, all contributed, knew love and loved. yes i am one who actually believes in utopia. i believe it is not just a dream but a potential reality, at least in this phase of Our evolution. so this song represents the hope of what that might be like, just as the movie did. no matter how dark or horrifying something may get, there is always hope. i believe in the human Spirit, and what We are capable of… this is what this tune brings to my heart and Spirit when i hear it. it also has a killer dance remix (as most really good Spiritual songs do!)—actually the Lamboy Club remix was how i first started to love it. this remix charted here 2005-2011. it wasn’t until 2012 that the original version from the movie overtook the dance remix. so bounding from #16 to #3 this year—and along with songs at #1 - #4 as the most listened to songs in my life—here is the gorgeous poignant miraculous “Now We Are Free” sung by Lisa Gerrard from one of the greatest movies of all-time, for me ;-) notice when You watch the attached video that the video channel had the artist name wrong as Enya, lol. i think back then anything that sounded like this they automatically assumed was Enya--really lol. https://youtube/watch?v=hiNw4fuuJUA
