Bomb blasts, political party feuds, plane crashes, and a whole lot - TopicsExpress

Bomb blasts, political party feuds, plane crashes, and a whole lot of other bad stuffs are the order of the day when you listen to news or listen to peoples conversations in recent times. With so much bad stuff hanging in the air in our nation and the world, the general ambiance is naturally that of fear, gloom, despair, worry, and a near constant diminishing return for love and trust for each other. But in spite of all these, we can be grateful for the positives; the privilege of being alive, hale, and hearty (at least, we havent got the Ebola epidemic yet and i pray we wont, even after the close call with the Liberian that made it to Lagos), the gift of robust family relationships as well as friendships, the gift of hailing from Africas greatest Nation, Nigeria, even when the bombs and politicians have been working as hard as they can to cause a divide for us to fragment to pieces, the gift and energy for hustling and bustling to solve lifes issues daily as they come, the gift of intelligent and well meaning patriots who have made or are still making their mark in our nations history, and a whole lot of other positives that I left out which may wanna add to the list! Its a herculean task to stay positive and keep your head up in an environment where so much and so many do strive to keep it down for you or even give you an outright knock out, but thats what I love about Nigerians....We are resilient, we dont back down and collapse no matter how tough things get, we have got the stuff that champions are made of, We are a strong people from a strong Nation! You doubt it? Let me give you a simple pointer. Fuel pump price has risen from N11 to N97 from Gen. Sani Abachas days to the current administration but we are still here kicking, living, hopeful that some day things may change for the better. I wont even wanna delve into the astronomical rise in the price of a cup of garri from then till now. But in all these things, we (Nigerians) are more than conquerors (I kind of believe the great apostle Paul had Nigerians in mind when he made that quote.....just joking!). So this piece is dedicated to Nigeria and every Nigerian; You are Heroes, Survivors, Trail blazers, Conquerors, Beautiful, Resilient, Intelligent, Precious, and Phenomenal! I salute you all! Keep the flag flying high where ever you find yourself, and understand that what you do contributes to how people perceive this our Dear Nation. Dare to be different whether you are young or old, strive to do the right things! Doing right is not only for the youths, its for everyone, no matter where you fall into! Nigeria is a nation of great destiny, and whether you do your part to help it achieve the fullest potential of that great destiny, trust me it will attain it with or without your input, but i rather you join the train of positive changers springing up all over the country! Wish you a great weekend ahead!#Osnonsnaz2014#
