Bomb squad ... A police bomb squad and anti-terrorism unit yesterday defused a homemade explosive device planted on Shaikh Salman Road in Isa Town, near Riffa. A spokesman said that the operation room received at around 8am a call reporting two suspicious objects. Teams were immediately deployed and after examination, it was found that one was a fake bomb while the other was a gas cylinder with a detonator. The Public Prosecution was notified and a probe was launched. He urged people to avoid touching strange objects and to report them to 999.
