Bonjour dear friend I hope you had a marvelous weekend like I did. Well today we were supposed to expand on the parable of the shrewd manager but do forgive me and let me lay a good foundation to that (well treat it in the course of the week). Bible passage - Genesis 41:25-33 25 Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. 26 The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven years; it is one and the same dream. 27 The seven lean, ugly cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind: They are seven years of famine. 28 “It is just as I said to Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do. 29 Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt, 30 but seven years of famine will follow them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will ravage the land. 31 The abundance in the land will not be remembered, because the famine that follows it will be so severe. 32 The reason the dream was given to Pharaoh in two forms is that the matter has been firmly decided by God, and God will do it soon. #Bible The message series I want to share with you is one I learnt in church and one I believe will be a blessing to all of us. We all know the story of Joseph; how he had a dream and vision from his childhood, a vision backed by God! And it is important that we all as young men and women have dreams/visions/aims backed by God. Well, unfortunately for young Joseph, he had to leave his dbee(rich, pampered) status to a slave when he was sold. Thats a classic example of the harsh realities of life hitting someone. Im sure there were times he might have despaired about his vision but it was said that everywhere he went, God was with him - from slave to prisoner to pharoahs palace. Now, take a moment to imagine yourself having that dream Pharoah had. Even in Ghana, when you see a cow in your dream, then it means your time has come to die. And some people will visit soothsayers and fake prophets for some disturbing interpretation. So Pharoah was disturbed! This was bad omen and he needed interpretation so Joseph was called from jail and he said to Pharoah, since you saw it twice, It has been established in heaven and you cannot change it, the only thing you can do is to manage it... Well continue tomorrow. Have a wonderful day and stay blessed!
