Bonjour, sunshine! And a very merry + cheery Christmas to all you Globe Glitterers who celebrate today. No matter what, its a great day to be merry + cheery. Any day! Its 37 degrees + drizzling here in Cincinnati. Im still hopeful for a little snow show...just enough to make a few snowballs to roll into a snowman + take a pic to share. Maybe if I laser-gaze at the patch of snow next to the ice skating rink outside our window, it might burst into flakes that flurry + stir others to join in the festivities. Christmas miracles abound! Im praying big for a little, not a blizzard. We have to be careful what we ask for because the universe always delivers. At least whats best for all involved. Well see. In the meantime, Ill enjoy the holiday cookies the hotel left in our room along with a camera ornament. How did they know that Im obsessed with photos? And not only taking them but receiving snapshots captured by my friends. Theyve been coming in this morn, bright + early. I was awake to receive each one because Joes a-snoring. Maybe I wasnt clear enough with my wish for snowing. Is it possible that the universe heard snoring instead of snowing? Hmmmm... Make sure youre very clear + exact with your requests. 😊 Maybe itll snow in our room because its gotta be 32 in here. Im not whining because we could turn on the heat. Its just that we cant stand fake heating, opting for the lesser evil of icicles hanging from our noses, tempered a bit by flannels, robes + thick socks. At least we dont have to ice down the Christmas wine + champagne. Theres always happy somewhere in the crappy. And you may very well be able to make your crappy happy with a flip of a switch be it in your head or on your wall. Well be heading to Joes moms soon for more family fun. Last night was a blast, including a beautiful midnight mass. One of the greatest gifts I ever received was Joe + his family. Off to defrost in another LUSH bubble tub...Im thinking penguin or wreath bomb. Whatever creates the best environment to read Comment le Grinch a Volé Noël...todays French lesson which means wine can go to the tub too. Snore away Joe...itll drown out my read aloud to practice. Merry + cheery Christmas indeed! Enjoy your day your way...at least some of it...if only just a few minute sneak away into a closet hideaway. When you gift yourself escape time, other prezzies will pop up throughout your day filled with joy for one + all. Ho ho ho! And so it is!
