Bonnie Its always sad when someone has to give up their cats for any reason. But its just downright cruel to move away and leave two loved ones out in sub zero temperatures with no food or shelter or understanding of what has happened. So goes Bonnie and Clydes story. Since their former owner didnt have the decency to find them placement, we have little to go on. They showed up on someones front porch, cold and hungry. The woman couldnt bring them in with her own cats but she could at least feed them and offer shelter on her porch. Clyde seemed to stay close, huddled inside the warm box he was given. Bonnie seemed to disappear during the day and return for dinner. Probably out looking for her owners to return home. Lucky for these two a neighbor down the street Knew us and asked if we could possibly find space for them. Knowing we were about to endure a bitter cold snap we took them in. Our vet guesses them to be around 7 years old, but with no knowledge at all about them, it is a guess. Bonnie is a beautiful calico with pale green eyes. She has that true calico spirit! Oddly enough she loves belly rubs and her rescuer says she loves kids. Clyde is more of a quiet soul. Very gentle, he loves go curl up somewhere warm and sleep. He too has the same pale green eyes as Bonnie so we are assuming they are litter mates. Bonnie likes her space! These are two super nice cats that really got dealt a raw deal. Lets make it up to them and show them not all humans are bad. They are not close and do not have to be adopted together. They are healthy, up to date on vaccines and eagerly awaiting their new life to unfold! Animals In Distress is a no-kill Cat Shelter located at 238 Danbury Road. We are open on Saturdays 1:00pm - 4:00pm or during the week by appointment. Email kittiesforkeeps@gmail or call 203-762-2006 online application animals-in-distress/adoptionform/catadoptionform.html
