Bonsoir, mes amis! Yesterdays closet clean-out morphed into a home altar project that I wanted to share with you. Ive had a sacred space in our home for many years, even more so after a trip to Bali. It seemed as if every nook + cranny there, teeny + huge, hosted a special prayer place to one being or many, for the benefit of all. While the space has been there, it hasnt always been in the same place. Sometimes it felt right in my home office, other times in our living room. As I traveled to holy spots during my trip to France last year, I picked up relics, medals, rosaries + the like for my altar. Toward the end of that adventure, I had a strong pull to recreate + relocate the space to our foyer. Over the past few months Ive been moving things over in baskets, waiting for the next tug. It came as I folded a jacket to donate to Goodwill. With the guidance of an amazing book Home Sanctuaries I arranged + rearranged a few times following the feng shui principles outlined in the book...all this after some meditation, journaling + a walk around the block, again following the books prompts. This posts images include indoor + outdoor shots of process. Theres still more to do. I did what felt right + look forward to the next calling...which might come after the skirts + dresses culling. 😊 It was a beautiful experience. Id encourage you to peruse the book whether you already have some sort of sacred space in your home or not, especially if not. We can all use some grounded connection that instills love in our hearts...a special area where we can place our wishes, dreams, prayers + more...giving it all up to the universe...asking for an assist, a new job, health, a new car. Whatever you desire. Peace for the entire planet, peeps! Roxi + Oliver helped me...mainly through deep breaths + snores. They got with the Zen of it all quickly + fell into a trance. Peace indeed. Namaste. xoxo
