Book #45 12/14/14 Review by Mac McDonald Team Unity “Taming the Tongue”, Alex Uwajeh *** This book is a fast easy read and is loaded with many tips on the way we communicate. It uses many Bible verses as references and comparisons as to how we should be communicating with each other. Such as “Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” Then it goes on to how we should talk with a positive attitude not only to others but also how we talk to ourselves. Having a positive mental attitude helps our motivation to skyrocket, which translates to having more energy to achieve the things you want to accomplish. It is also explained how powerful words are not only in the words themselves but how they are said such as the tone of our voice. When we are positive in our words and deeds we have a contagious effect on those around us. Others will then become positive and pass it on to more people. The one thing we must avoid is being around negative people; by being around them it will have the opposite contagious effect and will only serve to bring us down. We need to be positive stay positive and cause others to be positive. When we do this we will help the world to be a better place to live.
