Book Launch: A disclaimer on the purported publication/Launch of Book entitled: A post Humous Biography of Late Aper Aku, First Executive Governor of Benue State authored by Mr. Nathaniel Ikyur I write on behalf of the family of His Excellency, Late Aper Aku to disassociate the familys name and reputation over the said publication by Mr. Nathaniel Ikyur. This is sequel to the fact that the family feels with suspicion and displeasure the uncomplimentary attempt by the writer to hurriedly and haphazardly put such a book together to achieve selfish and emotional objectives at the expense of facts and realities of human development which late Aper Aku stood for. Having gone through the soft copy, the family feel strongly dismayed about the lack of coherence, facts and misplaced realities in the work, regarding the life and times of Aper Aku which the writer has ignored to put in their true perspectives. Agonisingly, is the fact that the writer did not consult the family to balance up the flagged areas of reality about Aper Aku in the work which to the best of the understanding of the family, would have given him the primary and true information to give the public about Aper Aku. On the strength of the above, and in further protection of the name of Aper Aku, the family wish to unequivocally put it to the public, that all those who hold the good name of late Aper Aku in high esteem should kindly assist in protecting his name, which freelance writers would wish to use to earn vague gratification and as such, dissociate themselves from the purported publication and launch which is slated to take place on the 13th November, 2014.
