Book club blog 5 A return to familiar haunts brought out old faces (eventually) and a well populated book group found much mileage in discussing anything but the book, as most attendees hadnt finished it and didnt want it spoiling. Arrangements were made for the hitchhikers live event on the 1st which looks like a very good do indeed, and in what is hoped to be the start of a tradition the event was catered with a Tupperware box full of brownies (thanks). Quote of the evening downplaying the excessive distances he runs came from Chris: I havent run a marathon in ages, but I did run one as part of that ironman. Our handsome chairman left somewhat early for his bed, but a good night was had and the next meeting looking at Only Forward, by Michael Marshal Smith remains a much anticipated social occasion.
