#BookBucketChallenge Thanks for nominating me Potter Head. :) Any time talking or thinking about books is time well spent. And yours is a very interesting list. I am putting together a fraction of the list of books that inspired me, changed me and made me a better person than I thought I was capable of. Guys, I tried hard but I couldnt really limit it to 10 [sorry!!] Here it is... 1. HARRY POTTER series by J.K. Rowling -because.. well, it really doesnt need an explanation. 2. MAHABHARATA by C. Rajagoplachari - this book satiated my Indian mythology obsession and also filled all the gaps from my childhood learnings. 3. THE HOST by Stephenie Meyer - this is so much better than twilight and twilight-haters, give me a break, would ya? 4. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austen - Never had a book made me admire a protagonist this much. 5. DISCOVERY OF INDIA by Jawaharlal Nehru - Ive only read quarter of this book, but this inspired me and reaffirmed my devotion to the country too much to not to share. 6. PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS by Rick Riordan - coz Ill eat up anything that has a whiff of mythology. And its funny too. 7. ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER by Mark Twain - it captures the power of imagination and the whimsical nature of a child too well. 8. FREEDOM AT MIDNIGHT by Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins - while I hate the biased narration of events, this book gave me an insight into some of the freedom fighters personalities. 9. ANGELS AND DEMONS by Dan Brown - love this book for the thrill and for introducing me to Renaissance art and for the eventual liking I developed for European history. 10. MY EXPERIMENTS WITH TRUTH by Mahatma Gandhi - despite being a slightly boring read, it has some invaluable lessons. 11. A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE series by George RR Martin - the ultimate series for fantasy lovers. 12. REMEMBER ME? & UNDOMESTIC GODDESS by Sophie Kinsella - coz they are funny, funny and funny. 13. KEEPING IT IN THE FAMILY by Sinead Moriarty - for the laughs and all the warm and fuzzies it created in me. I further nominate Abhimanyu, Harika, Sapna, Chaitanya, Prathyusha ,Prateechi, Anjana , Sravya , Sayujya and EVERY BOOK LOVER to list out the books that inspired you OR donate some to the nearest library OR both. :)
