Booker, Dano: This was an ethnic race line potentially racist vote. We should expect more from the democratic party. Did he win on being exceptional, not really. He is famous for a food stamp stunt which made him a household name and being tough on people who urinate in public. Not exactly the stuff of Daniel Webster. What is troubling is a kind of consolidation within the party which prevents substantive discourse. The party of Jefferson has given over to a new breed of corporate facade democrat, one where 99% of african americans vote for someone simply because of race. Because it was a snap election following a death of the incumbent, the household name won but its not a victory for New Jersey. In short NJ Democrats are selling a Yugo on the Jaguar lot, a lemon who has a shinny Yale degree. It spells lack of substance and a new era of elite control within the party claiming to be of the people.
