Books could be written (but I sincerely hope they wont be) on stupid design. And Im not even talking about built in obsolescence, deliberately designed weak links to ensure the thing breaks/down within minutes or hours of buying it. No Im just talking about blatantly stupid design. Whole factories tooled up to produce stuff that doesnt work. And then theres a whole world of extraneous bullshit tacked onto to something that should be simple and functional. It doesnt seem possible to buy a good old fashioned pencil sharpener any more. They complicate and clutter them with a whole host of unnecessary crap that actually makes them harder to use.
