Books like this are often dismissed as dull, but one of the things - TopicsExpress

Books like this are often dismissed as dull, but one of the things about historic libraries is the way which they bring us face to face with the things that people thought were interesting in the past, rather than the things which attract us. This is one of a considerable number of sermons and religious pamphlets, now in the library at Castle Ward, but previously in the possession of James Hamilton (d. 1707), of Bangor Castle, Co. Down (now in Northern Ireland). I bet I wont get as many likes for this as for library interiors or splendid architectural books!
