Books that i would recommend from Big Bad Wolf book sale. Atlas of military history and Pirates: Predators of the sea. These are coffee table publications which may not carry much detail information of world history but the maps (authentic old maps) and the illustrations (mostly paintings of the old) are most fascinating. Atlas of military history include major conflicts that involved the Ottomans, and the capitulation of Constantinople, the crusaders campaign in the Levant (Biladus syam) and the ransack of Baghdad by the Mongols. Pirates- predators of the sea include accounts of the Spanish conquest of North Africa and the eventual creation of Ottoman Africa. To me BBW in a way is a smart bussiness strategy of getting rid of overflow of mostly books that promote American and western ideas, ideals, thoughts and worldviews (which is fair enough as these are books published in the US and the UK). You just have to rummage through the books and youll come across some good read and worth spending money on - afterall they are quality books at bargain prices.
