Boozhoo, The Northern Eagle American Indian Movement Chapter of Northern Minnesota would like to announce their support for the First Nations people in Elsipogtog, New Brunswick and to all First Nations people in Canada in this important endeavor to stop fracking in their area. Northern Eagle AIM is appalled at the actions the Canadian government has taken against their First Nations people in their struggle for rights and dignity and their struggle in protecting Mother Earth and their natural resources. Large corporations have continuously stripped First Nations people of their resources and their right for economic independence and sovereignty, with government support. We ask Warriors not to rush to New Brunswick at this time, but to look to what they can do in their local areas to show support for the Warriors in Canada. Taking action by against Canadian Embassies and Consulates on the American side to show solidarity for our aboriginal relatives to the north, in protest against the violence they are experiencing.
